Dear Visitor,

Welcome to CGS Lower School! This maybe your first experience of schooling for your toddler, or perhaps your child is already in early years. Either way the CGS experience focuses on developing individual children in a range of skills and competences at their own pace. We also put great emphasis on fostering life-long values of courage, generosity and service to the community as well as a sense of creativity, innovation, adventure, leadership, environmental stewardship and global citizenship.

This unit of CGS comprises of classes pre-play to class 2, and our entry point takes in students at the tender age of 18 months. Our academic curriculum is based on Cambridge International Examinations and our areas of study are English, Bangla, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Information Technology, Bangladesh Studies, Integrated Studies, Moral Education, Literature, General Knowledge, Health Education and an extensive extra-curricular programme which includes Art, Music and Physical fitness.

Teachers are trained throughout the year with internal and external professional development programmes and courses to ensure they stay motivated and are constantly upgrading themselves to apply innovative teaching and learning methodologies in the classroom. There is also a robust staff appraisal system where parents are welcome to give their input. Regular invitations to 'Mother's Day in School' ensures that parents have the opportunity to closely witness classroom practices and give feedback on their experiences.

The Lower School has a current enrolment of almost 500 students and employs over 120 staff comprising of teachers, administration personnel, management and support staff, all of whom are here to support our students to achieve a strong academic foundation as well as a firm moral compass.

We look forward to giving all potential students the chance to be a part of our CGS legacy.

Dressing up as their favourite story book charac-ter was a fun way to end October and enjoy sto-ries. The activity encouraged imagination, crea-tivity, and a passion for reading among young learners.

Lower School joyfully observed Pitha Utshob recently. Parents were invited to join the celebration and enjoy a delightful variety of traditional, homemade pithas. It was a wonderful time of togetherness, culture and shared smiles.
